SensorFit Privacy Policy
Summary: SensorFit is an offline fitness rep counter. Your workouts and settings stay on your device. We do not require an account, and we do not operate our own cloud service to store your workout history. The App may show Google AdMob advertisements. A one-time in-app purchase to remove ads is planned for a future update. See below for details on ads, purchases, and feedback.
1. Who we are
SensorFit (“App”, “we”, “us”) is developed by Brock Hall. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App on your mobile device.
2. Information we collect
SensorFit is designed to work primarily offline. We do not collect personal information through our own servers for workout tracking because the App does not require you to create an account and does not sync your workout history to a developer-operated cloud.
The App may store the following information locally on your device only:
- Workout history — exercise type, rep counts, session duration, timestamps, and whether a session was entered manually.
- Training goals — goal targets and related preferences you configure in the App.
- App settings — such as sensor sensitivity and sound effect preferences.
- Onboarding choices — such as your selected default exercise, stored locally to personalize the App.
- Exported backups — if you choose to export workout history (for example, as CSV), the file is saved on your device. You decide whether to share or upload that file elsewhere.
- Purchase status — when available, whether you have purchased the optional “Remove Ads” upgrade may be stored locally on your device and verified through Google Play.
3. Device sensors
To count repetitions, the App may use your device’s proximity sensor and/or motion sensors (such as the accelerometer). Sensor readings are processed on your device to detect movement patterns during exercises such as push-ups, squats, sit-ups, and bench dips. We do not receive raw sensor data on our servers.
4. Permissions
Depending on your device and App version, SensorFit may request or use the following permissions:
- Vibrate — to provide haptic feedback during workouts.
- Internet and Network state — used to load advertisements, submit optional in-app feedback, open links (such as the privacy policy), and support Google Play features such as in-app review and in-app purchases. Core workout tracking does not require an internet connection.
5. Advertising
SensorFit displays banner and interstitial advertisements through Google AdMob.
When ads are shown:
- Google may collect or receive information such as advertising identifiers, device information, IP address, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads.
- Google’s use of information is governed by Google’s policies, including the Google Privacy Policy and, where applicable, the How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps page.
- You may be able to limit ad personalization through your device settings (for example, “Opt out of Ads Personalization” on Android).
We do not sell your workout history to advertisers.
6. In-app purchases (Remove Ads)
We plan to offer a one-time in-app purchase that lets you permanently turn off advertisements in SensorFit. When this feature is available:
- Purchases are processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
- Google may process purchase-related information according to Google Play’s policies.
- Your remove-ads entitlement may be stored on your device and linked to your Google Play account so the purchase can be restored on a new device when you reinstall the App.
Until the remove-ads purchase is released, ads may continue to be shown as described in Section 5.
7. Feedback you send us
If you use the in-app Feedback form, the App sends the text you provide along with non-workout technical details (such as app version, build number, platform, and device model) to a third-party form delivery service so your message can be delivered to us by email. Do not include sensitive personal information in feedback unless you choose to.
8. How we use information
Information stored on your device is used only to:
- Track and display your workouts, statistics, and goals;
- Apply your preferences and settings;
- Let you export or delete your local data;
- Show advertisements, unless you have purchased or otherwise unlocked the remove-ads option when available; and
- Process and honor in-app purchases when available.
9. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information.
Information may be shared only in these limited situations:
- With your action — for example, when you export data and choose to send or upload it yourself, or when you submit feedback through the App.
- With service providers — Google AdMob may process data as described in Section 5; Google Play may process purchase data as described in Section 6; and our feedback form provider may transmit feedback messages to us.
- For legal reasons — if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
10. Data retention and deletion
Workout history and settings remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App. You can delete all locally stored workout data from within the App using the wipe/delete option in the Data & Privacy menu. Uninstalling the App removes locally stored App data from your device, subject to your operating system’s behavior.
Feedback messages we receive by email are kept only as long as needed to respond and improve the App.
11. Children’s privacy
SensorFit is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it where applicable.
12. International users
Because workout data is stored locally on your device, it generally remains under your control on your device. If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or other regions with privacy laws, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal information. For data stored only on your device, you can exercise many of these rights directly through App settings and deletion tools.
13. Security
We take reasonable steps to design the App so that workout data stays on your device. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure; you are responsible for securing your device and any exported files you create.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
