Taptico
Privacy Policy
Taptico does not create accounts and does not show ads. Purchases stay with Apple. The app uses Firebase / Google Analytics for anonymous usage (which fidgets people open, paywall taps). That is not used to track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Optional in-app feedback is sent to us only if you choose to submit it.
1. Who we are
Taptico is a haptic fidget and focus tool for iPhone, published by OrehRuoy. This policy explains what information the app does and does not handle.
2. Data we collect
We do not collect, store, sell, or share:
- Name, email, or other contact details (except if you email us, or optionally type an email on the in-app feedback form)
- Advertising identifiers used for ads, or tracking pixels
- Precise or coarse location
- Health, fitness, or diagnostic data
- Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera
The app sends anonymous usage events to Firebase / Google Analytics (for example which fidget is open, whether Lifetime Unlock is shown or purchased, and whether the enjoy prompt was shown). Google may process a device-level analytics identifier. We do not use this to identify you, show ads, or track you across other apps or websites. Analytics does not include the text of any feedback you type.
3. Optional feedback
After you open Taptico on three different calendar days, we may ask if you are enjoying the app. Yes asks Apple to show the in-app review sheet (Apple may still hide it). Not really opens a form. If you send it, we receive your note, optional email (only if you enter one), device model, OS version, screen size, and app version, delivered over HTTPS by Web3Forms and then emailed to us. Email is not required. We do not use this for advertising.
4. What stays on your device
The app may keep a small local file on the device so it can remember whether you purchased Lifetime Unlock and whether we already asked if you are enjoying the app. That file never leaves the device and is not uploaded to us.
Motion sensors (accelerometer and gyroscope) are used only on-device to drive fidget physics and lighting. Sensor readings are not recorded or transmitted.
Haptic feedback uses Apple’s Taptic Engine / Core Haptics on-device.
5. In-app purchases
Lifetime Unlock is a one-time non-consumable purchase processed by Apple through StoreKit. Apple handles payment, Apple ID, and receipts. We do not receive your card number, Apple ID password, or a copy of your billing address.
Restore Purchases asks Apple whether this Apple ID already owns Lifetime Unlock. That check is performed by Apple’s systems, not by a server we operate.
6. Children’s privacy
Taptico is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The feedback form is optional and does not require an email.
7. Tracking
Taptico does not track you across apps or websites for advertising. We do not display an App Tracking Transparency prompt because we do not use data for tracking. The app’s privacy manifest sets tracking to false. Analytics is declared as product interaction / device ID for analytics only.
8. International users
Analytics and optional feedback may be processed by Google and Web3Forms outside your country. Purchases are delivered by Apple in your region.
9. Your choices
You can delete the app at any time, which removes local entitlement and enjoy-prompt data stored by Taptico on that device. Purchase records remain with Apple; use Restore Purchases after reinstalling.
If you emailed us or sent in-app feedback with an email, you may ask us to delete that thread.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The updated date will change at the top of this page. Material changes will also be reflected in the App Store listing where required.
